Play Map launched

Over the summer the Trust has been working with children from the Estate to develop a Play Map, highlighting good spaces on the Estate to play and suggesting activities best suited to those spaces. The Cedarwood Trust has been working with residents over the past couple of years to increase access to safe play on the Estate and this project has certainly helped with our planning. Through the play work being developed by the Trust we aim to help increase the opportunities for active play on the Estate, leading to healthier, happier children.

Look out for our PlayLab and Meadow Well Go activities, led by our growing number of Play Champions across the Estate (You’ll recognise them in their fluorescent yellow T Shirts!).

If you’re interested in joining our team of Play Champions or just want to get involved, why not give us a call? We’d love to hear from you.

Cedarwood Trust

What a week here at the centre.

We welcomed over 150 people to our first ever Cedarwood Panto with our friends at Blowin a Hooley and supported by the Stop Loan Sharks Team. We were delighted to be joined by the fantastic Jimmy Nail who came to view our performance this afternoon.

We have also had our AGM and annual Christmas light switch on which was heavily attended. Stalls, raffle and the big switch on by Kim Tserkezie.

We also say goodbye to our CEO Phil McGrath who leaves for pastures new. Phil has become well know for his passion to promoting a better world on the estate. Through his passion, kind heart, his dedication and his ability to overcome barriers has lead to some amazing work on the estate. We wish him the very best in his new role and thank you for all your hard work.

We welcome Wayne, our incoming CEO who joins the team in January and can’t wait to get started continuing the hard work the trust are dedicated in providing.
