The Cedarwood Trust welcomes the opportunity to develop partnerships with local companies and has benefitted from some fantastic support from the fundraising instigated and delivered by the staff of local businesses. Christmas is an excellent time to think of supporting Cedarwood and we have a long history of helping those on the Estate who are struggling to have a happier festive season. Our Christmas appeals include Toy Services (where we collect new toys for distribution to families who struggle to buy presents for their children) and hamper distribution. A few locals substitute cards and presents to family and friends for a donation to Cedarwood for at Christmas and this is something that we encourage local businesses to do. We are more than happy to provide information, posters and speakers to ensure that your staff receive all of the relevant information regarding our charity and we are keen to answer any questions that you and your staff may have regarding our work.
Your limited company pays less Corporation Tax when it gives the following to charity:
- equipment or trading stock (items it makes or sells)
- land, property or shares in another company (shares in your own company don’t qualify)
- employees (on secondment)
- sponsorship payments
You can claim tax relief by deducting the value of your donations from your total business profits before you pay tax.
