Older people in our community have a wealth of knowledge, experience and skills. Our Elders activities aim to support older people to share these gifts to help us create a better place for us all to enjoy and share, whilst providing a stimulating environment for participants to grow and develop.

Our Elders Lunches provide a social meeting place for neighbours to meet over lunch to share stories, experiences and ideas.

Our activity programme offers a range of social, healthy and fun activities which are designed by the participants and supported by our experienced team.

Our Shed project provides opportunities for participants to share their DIY and practical skills for the benefit of our community.

Soup-a Grans provide a meal and social contact for more isolated and housebound members of our community and our team of “Angels” provide a regular friendly visit to those who struggle to get out and meet friends and neighbours.

Cedarwood Trust

What a week here at the centre.

We welcomed over 150 people to our first ever Cedarwood Panto with our friends at Blowin a Hooley and supported by the Stop Loan Sharks Team. We were delighted to be joined by the fantastic Jimmy Nail who came to view our performance this afternoon.

We have also had our AGM and annual Christmas light switch on which was heavily attended. Stalls, raffle and the big switch on by Kim Tserkezie.

We also say goodbye to our CEO Phil McGrath who leaves for pastures new. Phil has become well know for his passion to promoting a better world on the estate. Through his passion, kind heart, his dedication and his ability to overcome barriers has lead to some amazing work on the estate. We wish him the very best in his new role and thank you for all your hard work.

We welcome Wayne, our incoming CEO who joins the team in January and can’t wait to get started continuing the hard work the trust are dedicated in providing.
